InformationClasses in Hood River are held in the confines of the Hood River marina. Classes in Cascade Locks are held off the swimming beach at the Cascade Locks Marine Park. All classes are taught by US Sailing certified instructors. Children must be of class age by June 1st. Children must know how to swim and will be required to wear life jackets at all times while on the docks, on the beach and sailing. All students are required to bring their own properly fitting life jacket. Life jackets are not provided. Children should also bring sailing shoes or old tennis shoes, sunscreen, hat, towel, water and a snack. No flip flops are allowed. Registration for classes can only be made through: |
2008 Sailing Class InformationGive your kids sailing, water and safety skills that will last a lifetime. In our introductory classes sailors will learn basic sailing skills, including rigging, knot tying, and boat safety. Intermediate/Advanced Sailors will practice performance boat handling and racing skills.
