2009 Skiff Regatta
I-14 US National Championship
2009 29er Pacific Coast Championship

July 24-26, 2009

The Columbia Gorge Racing Association is pleased to welcome the I 14s and 29ers back to the Gorge for the 2009 Skiff Regatta featuring the I-14 US National Championship & the 29er Pacific Coast Championship. For official  information about the regatta, please see the Notice of Race.

 

Eligibility

The I-14 US National Championship Regatta is open to all boats of the I-14 class that meet the obligations of the Class Rules and the governing National Authority. Each boat must have at least one person who is a member in good standing of their national International 14 class association.

The 29er Pacific Coast Championship Regatta is open to all boats of the 29er class that meet the obligations of the Class Rules and the governing National Authority.

The Columbia River Gorge at Cascade Locks, Oregon

Regatta Format

Courses will be standard windward-leeward as specified in the Sailing Instructions (available at registration). A minimum of 3 races must be completed to constitute a regatta. When 5 or more races are completed, sailors may discard their worst score. When 11 or more races are completed, sailors may discard their worst two scores.

Fees

Entry fee:                         $135.00
US Sailing Member:          $5.00 discount
Late registration fee:       $25.00 after July 20, 2009

The entry fee includes refreshments after racing each race day, a barbecue dinner on Saturday night, and a regatta souvenir.

Cascade Locks is located in the heart of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, 45 minutes east of Portland International Airport on Interstate 84. Cascade Locks and surrounding communities have a wide range of accommodations from camping to four-star resort hotels (see visitor information).
