Wednesday, July 23

12 pm: Rigged & registered
12:15 pm: Group discussion (clinic format, goals, explanation of drills, safety, etc.)
12:30 pm: Break into classes for boat handling discussion
2-4 pm: On-water drills, emphasis on boat handling (starting, mark rounding, etc.), concluding with 3-5 race series
4-5 pm Debrief in groups

Thursday, July 24

9:30 am: Group tuning discussion (boat setup, how to test)
10:30 am-noon: Testing session (3 boat groups)
noon-2 pm: Lunch break
2-2:45 pm: Whole group tactical discussion
3-4:30 pm: 3-4 race series with medium-length courses (individual coaching before, during, after races)
5 pm: Wrap-up with whole group

Skiff Performance Clinic

July 22-23, 2009

As a prelude to the I-14 US Nationals and 29er PCCs, CGRA is pleased to host the 2009 Skiff Performance Clinic for I-14s & 29ers. This is a unique opportunity to tune up with some of the world's best skiff sailors in one of the world's most spectacular sailing venues!

Coaching Staff

Coaching will be provided by a coaching staff under the direction of Joe Bersch.

Program

The goal of the Skiff Performance Clinic is to provide each participant with a clear action plan for improved performance. The emphasis will be on tuning, testing, and boat handling, utilizing both onshore chalk talks and on-the-water drills and short races.
